The Norwegian Maritime Authority presents the Active at Sea app as a complimentary service. This service is offered at no charge and is intended for use "as is."

Background Location Service
The app provides functionalities that require the use of your device's GPS/Background location service. For instance, when recording workouts, it is necessary to track your location to accurately track your run/workout. We only collect location data when the app is in use or running in the background if you have granted us permission to do so. The collected data is solely used for the purpose of providing you with the Service's specific features related to your workout activities.
