Terms and conditions
Bloc's privacy policy guidelines were updated on February 15, 2018.
Your privacy is important to Bloc. Therefore, we have prepared Privacy Policy Guidelines that cover how we collect, use, disseminate, transfer, and store your information. Please take some time to familiarize yourself with our privacy policies, and contact us if you have any questions.
Collection and Use of Personal Information
Personal information is information that can be used to identify or contact an individual.
You may be asked to provide personal information at any time when you are in contact with Bloc or a Bloc-affiliated company. Bloc and its affiliated companies may exchange such personal information and use it in accordance with the Privacy Policy Guidelines. They may also combine it with other information to provide and improve products, services, content, and advertising. You are not required to provide the personal information we have requested, but if you choose not to do so, in many cases we will not be able to provide you with our products, services, or respond to any queries you may have.
Integrity and Preservation of Personal Information
Bloc makes it easy for you to ensure that your personal information is accurate, complete, and up-to-date. We retain your personal information for as long as necessary for the purposes described in the Privacy Policy Guidelines, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
Access to Personal Information
You can help ensure that your contact information and preferences are accurate, complete, and up-to-date by logging into your account. For other personal information we hold, we provide you with access and a copy for any purpose, including requests for us to correct data that is not accurate, or delete data if its retention is not required by law or for legitimate business purposes. We may decline to process requests that are frivolous/vexatious, jeopardize the privacy of others, are extremely impractical, or for which access is not otherwise required by local law. Requests for access, correction, and deletion can be made by contacting us at support@bloc.net.
Children & Education
We understand the importance of taking extra precautions to protect the privacy and security of children using Bloc products and services. Children under the age of 13, or the equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction, are not allowed to create their own Bloc account unless a parent provides consent as part of the account creation or application form, or they have been assigned a managed Bloc account (if available) automatically through integration with, for example, NIF.
If we discover that we have collected personal information from a child under the age of 13, or the equivalent minimum age depending on jurisdiction, under circumstances other than those mentioned above, we will take steps to delete the information as soon as possible.
If at any time a parent needs to access, correct, or delete data associated with their own or their child's account, they can contact us at support@bloc.net
Questions Regarding Privacy
If you have any questions or concerns about Bloc's privacy policy or data processing, or if you want to file a complaint about a potential breach of local privacy laws, please contact us.
When a request about privacy or access/download is received, we have a dedicated team that reviews the request and attempts to address the specific issue or question you wish to resolve. If your issue is more extensive, we may request more information from you. All such comprehensive inquiries receive a response. If you are not satisfied with the response you receive, you can escalate your complaint to the appropriate regulatory body within your jurisdiction.
Bloc may from time to time change the Privacy Policy Guidelines. In the event of significant changes to the guidelines, we will post a notice along with the updated Privacy Policy Guidelines on our website.
